Taxonomic history

Originally described as Pieris sp. kalora Moore, 1865
Treated as a subspecies of Synchloe callidice Esper by Bernardi (1966: 230). Treated as a subspecies of Pontia callidice (Hübner, [1800]) by Della Bruna et al. (2004: 73).
