Originally described as Parnassius acco sub-sp. punctata Tytler, 1926
Treated as a subspecies of Parnassius (Tadumia) acco Gray, 1852 by Bang-Haas (1927: 22). Treated as a subspecies of Tadumia acco (Gray, 1852) by Bryk (1935: 637). Treated as a subspecies of Tadumia (Tadumia) acco Gray by Eisner (1959: 168). Treated as a synonym of Parnassius (Tadumia) acco hampsoni Avinoff, 1916 by Weiss (1992: 73). Synonymized with Parnassius acco hampsoni Avinoff, 1916 by Huang (1998: 271).

Remarks

The taxon is based on a single illustrated specimen, and the name was introduced on the legend to plate 5 as "Fig. 3. Parnassius acco punctata, [f], sub-sp. n.", without any further description. Not mentioned by Ackery (1973) as type-specimens present in BMNH, London.
