Parnassius sp. caesar Grumm-Grshimailo, 1885

Specimen data: LT (♂, Gr. Grumm-Grshimailo leg., coll. Elwes)
Additional information: "Fig- 5-8, Parnassius actius caesar Grum-Grshimailo, Kyzyl-Art-Pass (Transalai), aus der Originalserie, ex coll. Grum-Grshimailo in coll. Elwes (British Mus.). 5, ♀Lectoallotype; 6, ♂ Lectotype; 7, ♂ Paratype; 8, ♂ Paratype." (Eisner & Sheljuzhko, 1965: 214). "Eisner & Sheljuzhko (1965 : 214, legend) effectively designated a male from the Grum-Grhsimailo Collection (in BMNH) as the lectotype of this taxon, and three other specimens as paralectotypes ('lectoallotype' and 2 'paratypes'). The latter specimens are still present in the BMNH but the former 'lectotype' is missing." (Ackery, 1973: 11).

Treated as a subspecies of Parnassius actius (Eversmann, 1843) by Bryk (1935: 251). Treated as a nomen nudum by Ackery (1973: 11). Treated as a subspecies of Parnassius actius (Eversmann, 1843) by Tshikolovets (1997: 38). Treated [as "caesar Staudinger, 1897"] as a subspecies of Parnassius actius (Eversmann, 1843) by Sugisawa (1999: 68). Treated as a synonym of Parnassius actius actius (Eversmann, 1843) by Tshikolovets (2003: 89).
