Originally described as Papilio columbus Kollar, 1850
Treated as a synonym of Papilio servillei Godt., 1823 by Kirby (1871: 555). Treated as a species of Eurytides Hübner, 1821 (Eurytides Hübner, 1821) by Munroe (1961: 41). Treated as a species of Graphium Scopoli, 1777 by D'Almeida (1966: 262). Treated as a species of Eurytides Hübner, [1821] by Hancock (1983: 46). Treated as a subspecies of Eurytides serville (Godart, 18724) by Tyler et al. (1994: 30). Treated as a subspecies of Eurytides serville by Lamas (1995: 56). Treated as a subspecies of Eurytides serville (Godart, [1824]) by Lamas (2004: 88).

Remarks

Original description not seen / checked! Listed as a separate species by Collins & Morris (1985:51), D'Almeida (1966:259), Hancock (1983), and Munroe (1961), but recently regarded as conspecific with E. serville (Tyler et al. 1994:30).
