Additional information: "HT apparently in USNM" (Miller & Brown, 1981: 84). "Syntypes: 1) Male, forewing length = 36.5 mm; labels: as illustrated 2) Male, forewing = 30.5 mm; labels: Col. Eurydice/Calif; Colias Vosnesenskii, Menetr./Enumeratio corporum universalium/ musaei petropol. tab 1, fig. 4) male.; EMB; OC; BC. [...] Lectotype. The No.1 male syntype is designated as the lectotype." (Emmel et al., 1998: 23).

Treated as a species of Zerene Hübner, [1819] by Miller & Brown (1984: 84), and Lamas (2004: 103).
