Treated as a possibly distinct species of Parnassius Latreille, 1804 (Kailasius Moore, 1902) or as possibly conspecific with Parnassius (Kailasius) loxias Püngeler, 1901 by Häuser (1993: 138).

Remarks

The locality label data cited by Tshikolovets (1993:11) render the identity of the HT specimen doubtful - check! According to Kreuzberg (1985?), the exact type locality is Guschon valley in the Darwas.
