Taxonomic history

Originally described as Parnassius discobulus sub-sp. baroghila Tytler, 1926
Treated as as subspecies of Parnassius jacquemonti by Bang-Haas (1932: 200). Treated as a subspecies of Parnassius jacquemontii Boisduval by Ackery (1973: 10). Treated as a subspecies of Parnassius jacquemontii Boisduval, 1836 by Eisner & Naumann (1980: 18,30). Treated as a synonym of Parnassius jacquemontii chitralensis Moore, 1902 by Tshikolovets (1997: 41).
