Taxonomic history

Originally described as Tadumia imperator Obthr. subsp. aino Bryk, 1932
Treated as a subspecies of Eukoramius imperator by Bryk (1938:1). Synonymized with Parnassius imperator imperator Oberthür by Ohya (1990:72). Treated as a subspecies of Parnassius (Eukoramius) imperator Oberthür, 1883 by Weiss (1991:42).
