Originally described as [Papilio] aenippe Cramer, [1777]


A multiple original spelling: Spelled "Aenippe" in the Dutch and "Aenippa" in the French text. The first reviser seems to have been Cramer himself who figured a male of what he thought to be the same species on plate 157 of the same volume using the spelling "Aenippe" in both the Dutch and French text (p. 95).
